Our story
Our story centres around a family and know-how that is second-to-none. It’s also about a passion for wood, which is at the heart of everything we are and do, the driver behind our quest for excellence.
The CEO of L’Ébénisterie, Richard Marro, has developed an impeccably professional, technically outstanding approach and turned it into second nature for the company. He remains just as fascinated with the practice of wood-working as when he used to marvel at Mr Rostagni and his father in the old workshops…
His team share this passion and enthusiasm – as can be clearly seen in how they join together to create painstakingly-finished pieces of furniture and fittings for top architects and interior designers.
L’Ébénisterie has been based in the hinterland of Nice for over forty years, providing top-quality, bespoke joinery services for high-end clients in France and further afield.

Individuals united by a common love
Supervisors, joiners and cabinet-makers, master carvers, veneerers and fitters, most of whom are ‘Compagnons du Devoir’ (a craftsman’s guild), comprise this highly-skilled and experienced team. They share a work ethic that prizes a ‘job well done’ and value the traditions of our profession. As a result, they work wood with great care and accuracy to satisfy even the most demanding customers.

L’Ebénisterie is composed of men and women who enthusiastically give their very best to their job, whether they’re working in our project department, our administrative department or our design studio. The workshop is full of highly-experienced cabinet-makers and joiners, as well as veneerers and fitters with a real eye for detail. This array of gifted individuals joins forces to deliver bespoke projects to meet your expectations, no matter how exacting they are.
